Coming into Missions relatively recently has been a very steep learning curve. Extremely enjoyable and fulfilling and I wouldn’t change anything, including the misconceptions about the world of global missions I have carried for a while. Meeting the amazing people on the mission field you soon realise their lives are not much different to mine or yours. Their lives maybe more closer to the reality of life and a much starker reality of needing air, water, shelter, income, food, relationships than mine and yours, however their need for these are no different to our own needs, we seem to lose sight of these basics in the busyness of life in the western world.
One of the main areas that has become very clear to us at MVGB is the necessity of a vehicle for a missionary and their family alongside their work of telling the Gospel and making disciples. Below are some pictures of a vehicle in use in Africa. You will see the vehicles are much used in every area of the work of the missionary and The Kingdom of God.
We are very appreciative to one of our partners in the Uk – Through Neil and his team who run ARM (Automobile Repair Ministry) we are able to help our missionaries every year with funds that go towards vehicle upkeep and repair – please go here to find out more and if you want to get involved in this area of Mission Vehicle Support then please do contact us here at MVGB
We are also very privileged and thankful to work in partnership with the CMA – Christian Motorcycle Association who help our missionaries and work of spreading The Gospel to the nations by funding motorcycles for use in ministering to peoples in the harder to reach areas. We have been partnering with CMA for over 25 years and we are very proud of this relationship in helping to fulfil Jesus’s work.
At MVGB we are looking for partners who have a passion for missions and particularly a heart for vehicle support, whether that is helping us to raise the profile of the need for vehicles, help raise funds or actually make a donation to this area of need. We would love to partner with more car mechanics too, your skills are invaluable on the mission field, so whether you’re an individual mechanic or you are a Garage business owner please do get in touch if you would like to be part of global missions.
We do have a number of vehicle needs on the mission field and below is one of these. Pieter and Mari are missionaries in Swaziland with their 3 children, they minister to the leaders and travel around to many remote areas and their vehicle is in need of replacement, if you can help please do contact us. They are looking to purchase an X-Trail £13000 – if you can help Pieter and Mari or anyone of our other missionary vehicle needs in any way, please contact us and we can share with you how to and where to help. Thankyou
