Supporting Missionary families with their children’s school fees
We recently received this letter from one of our missionary families in Mozambique, Jaco and Inge. This need for school fees is very close to our hearts at MVGB because it helps a missionary family do their very best for their children and eases the financial and sustainable situation while they carry on with their God given work in the country they are called to. At MVGB we want missionary families to know they are loved, supported and that includes their children. They will feel and know that love too, and this will make a lasting impression on their lives as missionary children. Thanks for taking the time to read.
‘If you can be of help in any way with School funds for our children, we would be forever grateful.
Ernan our eldest will start with his final 3 years of High School next year January, and with much prayer we decided to keep home-schooling him and not send him to South-Africa where we would only be able to see him every few months. The best option would be to use Cambridge International Curriculum, which will give him the opportunity to receive an International Matric certificate and not just a South-African matric. Our desire is to do it through Imperial International College www.iic-online.com, which is a Christian based College.
The costs are quite expensive for us, for you have to pay in advance for the 2 x year & half sections (IGCSE & AS Levels). I can forward the invoices to you if you want to see them?
For the first 18 months it would be around R38 906.37 (£2190) and this excludes the exam fees at the end of the 18 months which will be more or less R9 000 (£510).
We would also like for Lander to start with their (Love 2 Learn) Computer Science Curriculum to prepare him for Cambridge Curriculum standard. That would work out to R4663.12 (£263)
Love 2 Learn which is Imperial International College’s primary school section (www.love2learn.co.za), is a wonderful Christian based curriculum. We are not buying the whole curriculum for Lander, it is quite expensive, but would like him to start with the Computer Science (Computing) Subject so we know he will be ready for his final 3 years of High School.
If there are any funds available that we can apply for school fees we would greatly appreciate it if you can let us know.
If not, thank you for taking the time to read our request.
With much love & blessings to you
Jaco & Inge le Roux’
