God created rabbits to be among the most prolific animals on Earth. One pair of rabbits can easily produce 50 rabbits in a single year. Not only is this a fantastic way to help feed hungry children, its also a great small family business. This is a great idea from Ernan who is a missionary in Mozambique with his family. The project looks like it can be multiplied in every sense of the word and has the potential to make a real difference and impact to families and their villages well being. Helping people to help themselves with a sustainable business or project is a key strategy for all of us. Animal husbandry is a good way to feed and benefit families, and when you have someone with a big heart of love for people and animals then you have a winner! With ongoing training from Ernan and others in the future this will be a very successful sustainable project that will have lasting positive impact in the lives of those who need help.
Adopt a ‘Rabbit Project’
My name is Ernan le Roux, I’m 15 years old and lives in Inhambane, Mozambique. I have been farming with animals for 4 years. I would like to suggest a way of sowing into poor communities here in Mozambique. Rabbits are a high source of protein and multiply fast. Your seed will establish a small community project which will supply meat to remote locations where my dad is involved already with Bible training.
To help uplift communities physically is also very important.

After their first month, the ideal is for each project to stand of its own feet and not look to me for more funding. They must commit to grow and sustain their own community project. I will send reports & photos of your adopted project to keep you involved.
