Woven Together Ministries
Woven Together Ministries is based on the edge of the Maasai Mara and is centred around several key areas of mission and community life:
Woven Together Community Church
The church began in 2014, initially meeting under a tree. Since then, it has continued to grow both in spiritual maturity and in the practical expression of faith through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Woven Together Ministry Training College
The training college was established in 2018, following a vision, and began its first teaching sessions in March 2019. Initially, classes were held within the church building.
Over the past seven years, three groups of students have graduated with a diploma in *Foundations of Faith and Practical Ministry*. This one-year course has been developed specifically for adult learners in East Africa and is open to born-again, baptised believers from all Christian denominations.
The programme is inclusive, welcoming both those who are literate and those who are not. Students come from a wide range of tribal backgrounds and educational experiences, from those who have never attended school to those holding university degrees. Ages have ranged from 19 to over 75.
The course combines biblical teaching with practical application. Students are taught key foundations of the Christian faith, along with an understanding of the main themes and narratives of both the Old and New Testaments. Alongside this, there is a strong emphasis on putting faith into action through active ministry and service.
Woven Together Evangelism Teams
Evangelism teams regularly go out into surrounding areas to share the Gospel, teach the Bible, pray for the sick, and support individuals encountering spiritual challenges. Many of the ministry staff are actively involved in these outreach teams.
Where individuals respond to the message but live some distance away, they are connected with local churches in their own communities for ongoing discipleship and fellowship.
Sustainability and Community Engagement
Woven Together also operates two small businesses. These contribute towards the sustainability of the ministry while also providing opportunities for evangelism, discipleship, and skills development within the local community.
Through these initiatives, a culture has been established where people can learn practical skills, hear the Gospel, and grow together in their faith.
Mara Jerseys Dairy Farm
The dairy farm has become known locally as an “inspiration farm”. Dairy farming and specialised crop-growing for livestock are not common in this semi-arid region, so the farm attracts regular visitors who come to learn. Members of the farm team include individuals who have completed the ministry training programme and are also involved in evangelism.
The Gazelle Coffee House & Meeting Place
The Gazelle Coffee House serves as a central gathering place for the local community. While known for its homemade ice cream as much as its coffee, it also provides a setting where visitors—both local residents and international tourists—can encounter the Christian message in a welcoming environment.
Closing
Thank you for your prayers and ongoing support. We are truly woven together in Christ.
