Request from Inge le Roux (MV Missionary in Mozambique):
Please intercede with us for the people of Mozambique, specific Beira area.
The cyclone left the city in catastrophic disaster, and with no contact with the people there, we are so worried.
Most people would have been in water with no food since Thursday.
Pastor Adreano phoned Jaco Thursday night at 11pm and told him his whole family is in the outside toilet which was the only structure still standing.
The phone was then cut off and we had no contact with them since.
Even with rescue teams going in (only accessible by helicopters and planes) the area is so vast that it can take days for people to get to safer places.
I don’t even know what to pray for. We feel so helpless. We know fear is not from God, but we as a family have been in a cyclone with the same wind speed as this one, but did not receive the amount of rains which was a saving for our area. It was traumatic to say the least, and we can only imagine what these people must be going through.
They think the death toll will go up to a 1000. Reports state that there are constantly bodies floating around, and no way to know the true impact at this stage.
The Holy Spirit knows what to pray for whom, may we just allow Him to pray through us.
