A Week in Latvia Supporting the Baltic School of Ministry — Nov 2025

In November 2025, we had the privilege of returning to Latvia to once again serve the Baltic School of Ministry (BSM). After last year’s impactful visit, it was a joy to reconnect with the students, leaders, and friends who are part of this vibrant community. Although the programme followed a very similar pattern to our 2024 trip, the experience was just as meaningful—full of encouragement, prayer, teaching, and shared mission.
Returning to a Place of Growth
Walking back through the doors of BSM felt like returning to family. The students welcomed us warmly, eager to learn and to share what God has been doing in their lives since our previous visit. Their hunger for the Word and desire to grow in discipleship remains a powerful reminder of why this school is such an important ministry in the Baltic region.
One small but memorable change from last year: the mattresses! Thank you to everyone who donated to th new mattresses. A small blessing—yet very appreciated!
Teaching, Prayer, and Encouragement
Over the course of the week, we spent time teaching, praying with students, and offering pastoral support. We shared from the Scriptures, led reflective sessions, and encouraged the students in their calling, identity, and walk with Jesus.
As always, we were deeply moved by the openness of the students. Their willingness to be shaped, challenged, and strengthened by God’s Word is inspiring. Many shared personal testimonies of how God has been guiding and transforming them during their time at BSM.
Supporting the Team and Building Relationships

We were once again warmly welcomed by the BSM leadership team — Mauro & Julia and Matias & Santa — who faithfully steward the vision and daily life of the school. Their commitment to discipleship, hospitality, and Spirit‑led leadership continues to shape an atmosphere where students can grow deeply in Christ. A significant part of our visit was simply being present with the team and leaders who faithfully run the school. Their dedication to raising disciples and equipping young believers for ministry across Latvia and the surrounding nations is incredible.
We shared meals, laughter, prayer, and encouragement together—strengthening the friendship and partnership between MVGB and BSM. These relationships matter and continue to grow year by year.
An Invitation to Church Leaders
As BSM continues to expand its impact, we are actively exploring opportunities for UK church leaders to visit, teach, and invest in the students. If you are a pastor, leader, or gifted Bible teacher with a heart for mission and discipleship, this could be a significant opportunity to serve.
The School is welcoming leaders who can:
* Teach on biblical foundations, discipleship, leadership, mission, or spiritual formation
* Share personal ministry experience and pastoral wisdom
* Encourage and pray for students
If this resonates with you, we would love to hear from you. Your voice and gifting could make a real difference in shaping the next generation of leaders in the Baltics.
Looking Ahead
Our November 2025 visit reaffirmed our love for the Baltic School of Ministry and our commitment to walk alongside them in mission. We left encouraged, inspired, and grateful—both for what God is doing now and for what He will continue to do in the years to come.
