Missionary Ventures Field Co-ordinators Tommie and Gunilla Nauman In Thessaloniki Greece have been taking care of refugee families with new born children. Around Thessaloniki there are over 15 refugee camps with anything from 600 to 2,000 people.
They have a house with a few apartments in Perea, where we take care of refugee families with newborns. The house is called ‘Life House’.
Instead of staying in small tents and large metal buildings, we can help these families in a difficult situation, until their little baby has grown.
We have living in the house families with small children and babies, and two young men Rezan and Muhamed who help us with the translation.
We provide English lessons, mother and infant health lessons, cultural training, etc.
We provide money for food, diapers, and medicine etc.
We work in a camp with 800 refugees. We go several times a week with food, but also just to help out. Many live under stress, and do not know what’s going to happened makes them very anxious and nervous, but after several months of work, many become our friends for life and Tommie has just started a new Bible group for young men.
