We had a great trip to Moldova in May – Love Moldova!
What a privilege to see the mission work that Victor and Yolanda Neagu and their family are involved in Victors home town Cahul in Moldova. We visited them in May to see them, what they do and catch their vision and heart for Moldova.
Victor has been going back to Moldova every year, working alongside Operation Orphan to distribute clothes to the children in the schools, a much needed aid for the families who find it very difficult to make ends meet in a country with an economy that is leaving the villages in need of all the help they can receive.
On the back of giving clothes to the children, Victor loves to give a gift of a bible into the hands of each child in the schools. When he visits a school he has not been to before, he gives every child in the school a bible written in their language, and then each year thereafter he goes back and gives the new year intake of children a bible. It is a beautiful hardback children’s bible, wonderfully illustrated and a real gift to the children. Their faces when they see such a beautiful bible and them realising it was now theirs to own, is something we will not forget. They would instantly write their name inside and begin to look through, some even began to read out loud. You could see that most children were going to treasure their new gift.
As Victor would go into the classroom and begin to talk to the children in the class and the teacher about the bibles, he gave his testimony about receiving a bible when he was a child and how he hoped they would love this gift as much as he did, even though we could not understand the words he was speaking, we fully understood it was a precious moment of Victor sharing his heart and the heart of Jesus.
We bought the bibles from the Bible Society in Moldova thanks to the generosity of MVGB supporters last year, in fact, you were so generous the Bible society ran out of the bibles on the trip in 2016 and had to order more for Victor to give out at a later date. So on behalf of Victor and his family, MVGB and the children in Moldova, Thankyou for your continued support of spreading The good News of Jesus around the world.
