For the past 5 years we have been working with pre-schools and communities in South Africa (MVSA) and last year we started working with Hero Day Care.
The children at this pre-school were being educated in a very run down garage, which has had a makeover since we began our work there, however, they are still in the garage.
We would like to raise enough money to build this community, one of the poorest regions in the area, a proper school. We have the land on which the garage stands to build on and even built a fence around it to keep the kids safe. A purpose built school would allow for more children to attend school and be seated comfortably, making a learning a bit easier.
We believe an education is vital in providing hope to these kids. Hope that their future can be different from what generations before them had to make do with. Hope that an education will impact them and their community into believing change is possible and empowering them to make those changes.
An education is not for the elite or for the rich or for a selected few, education should be for everyone regardless of age, race, gender, location or financial situation. We want to knock down walls that are the barriers to education and hope and build new walls that embraces learning and shows love in action, that allows these kids and generations to come to dare to dream of a better future.
Help us build them a future by making a donation towards the building of this school. Donate as little as £1 to £1000 but if you pay tax don’t forget to gift aid, this will raise even more.
Buy a Brick, build a solid foundation, give hope.
