There’s L.I.F.E. in Latvia!
The Meiers recently travelled to the Baltic country of Latvia on mission to attend an exciting European conference, visit new missionaries, and preach the word.
The three-day L.I.F.E. Conference (Life International Fellowship in Europe) was amazing, being among nearly 1000 pastors and leaders from 14 European nations and the USA, representing 91 churches. Almost 25 years ago we had the privilege of helping plant the host church in the small border town of Bauska. This conference has been held for 16 years annually, and it’s a testimony how a vision from God can immerge from a small group of sold-out-to-Jesus leaders.
It was a privilege to take part and to hear what God is doing in Europe. Luther spoke briefly, giving a greeting and a testimony, and Sandy sang a song in English and Russian.
Also during the second day of sessions, Sandy had an opportunity to share two words of knowledge that the Holy Spirit gave her the previous evening. Someone had a painful right hip that God would heal when they began to walk and another person would be healed of lung disease if they would breathe deeply. After the session, a Russian woman approached Sandy to explain that her hip was so painful the previous night that she couldn’t attend the meeting. But that day, she came and when she heard her words, she was healed as she walked. No pain! Then after the conference, someone wrote their testimony how God healed their lungs from a work-related injury as they breathed deeply. We praise God and give Him glory for His marvellous works of healing!
After the conference on Sunday, they were invited by Bishop Gribs, head of the Russian/Latvian Pentecostal Churches to minister at their church headquarters in the capitol city of Riga. From there, Luther & Sandy drove west to the Baltic coast to Ventspils where they met new MV missionaries, Mauro and Julia Martinez, to encourage them in their ministry and church planting.
