About
Mauro was born in Argentina and he moved to Latvia in 2010 where he met Julia. Together they have been married for over 7 years and have a daughter, Eliza and a son Lionel. After being involved as the Academic Dean of a Bible School in Ozolnieki (Latvia) for 6 years, they have moved to Ventspils where they are starting a church planting project. Besides that, they are working on the translation and distribution of material for Sunday school teachers with a ministry called Little Hands for Missions. The goal of this ministry is to train kids on mission, so that the importance of missionary work will be the DNA of the next generation of church leaders.
In recent years they have become Directors of BSM (Baltic School of Ministry) and are building the school into a centre of excellence, transforming lives who go on to transform people and communities all over Europe.
Mission field
Together with Estonia and Lithuania, Latvia is one of the Baltic Countries in Eastern Europe. Although it celebrated its 100 years as a Republic in 2018, Latvia has centuries of history. The last chapter of their history includes 45 years under the control of the Soviet Union after Second World War. Latvia recovered its independence in 1991, but the consequences of that time can still be seen. Although the official language is Latvian, almost half of the population speaks Russian, making Latvia a unique mission field!
