By God’s amazing grace we have been serving on the mission field since July 1998. Beginning January 2006 we partnered with MVI and attended the orientation and field training in the USA.

Since entering the mission field we have served in the surrounding areas of our home-town, completed 6 months training at Operation Mobilization, ministered in Gabon, West Africa and Sinazongwe, Zambia. Presently we reside in our hometown Tzaneen, South Africa from where we travel to different countries in Southern Africa to serve and minister.

We believe and know our calling is for the underprivileged children of Africa. Hugo’s passion is to evangelize, disciple and equip children. Salomie has the ‘compassionate’ heart being involved in HIV aids, malnutrition and baby milk programs.

Together with the passion and calling to disciple children we still travel regularly to Sinazongwe, Zambia where we serve alongside Ps Bernard among the Tonga speaking peoples. In Sinazongwe there are different projects/programs that we assist with such as orphan education, sewing program for vulnerable ladies, Luzibo Christian Training Centre for church leaders and agriculture projects for the poor. We also assist with a pre-school on the outskirts of our home-town.

Mission field

Once aching from the pain and sorrow of apartheid, South Africa is a nation that has truly come out on the other side. The inspiring blend of over a dozen native tribes with people from European and Indian cultures makes South Africa one of the most ethnically diverse countries on the entire continent. The missionaries you will work with want nothing more than to see what God is doing with this place and these people, especially since a lot of the work done is with children. Come serve in South Africa where the opportunities to minister and grow are even more vast than the land.
